Remember last week when we used a bunch of children to harvest plums? Those kids all escaped, so we had to get some more this week.
This should all look familiar by now. The kids do all the work in the plum mines and don’t have any fun at all, while he adults have a pleasant summer party. Brilliant.
At about this time, one of them got away from us. She climbed the tree, and started eating the good plums and dropping the rotten ones on us. She was up in that tree for a really long time.
Oh, clever monkey.
Then we hand all the kids knives and leave the room. They’ll be fine.
We damaged a few of the urchins in the jam-making process, but also had one adult casualty.
Random assertion: Any day spent in a tree is a day you’ll remember forever.
